Day 3 Photo Challenge

Something I adore:

This is my rather old and dilapidated Bible. It has pages missing and torn, and there is so much underlining and highlighting throughout. I have just ordered a new one in LARGE PRINT for old eyes such as mine, and I shall have to spend some time transferring my notes and highlights over. If ever I am looking for a verse, I can usually find it in this one, rather than any other around the house.

The bookmark is very special to me as well. My Grandma made it for me and the handwriting on the back is very shaky, but it she won't be making any more.

Simple treasures.

Day 3 - 10 minute time-out for meeeeee!

How hard can it be to find 10 minutes in a 24 hour day to be alone and spend it on yourself, doing whatever you want!?!?

To be quite honest, I got an hour in the middle of the day, sitting in the car, waiting for Ethan to give a speech to some Yr 7 kids about the benefits of joining the SES Cadet program at his former High School. I had Gretel with me though, so it doesn't really count as child-free time, but I managed to get a bit of writing done, yay!

So I waited till I finished all my days work and ALL the kids were tucked up in bed and just after 11pm, I painted my toenails!

Pretty colour hey? I really can't remember the last time I painted my nails, haha! I wanted to do it before Gretel came so they would look good while I was in labour! So vain of me! :)

Finally a successful challenge completed!
